Hello,

a bit about me:

I am a Masters student of Computer Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I like to work on real life problems and try to solve them by tools of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. I am always interested to learn new problems and approaches and add more tools to my kit.

Before starting grad school, I was Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research Institute, Bangalore for two years where I worked with Samsung Health Services group on variety of projects ranging from developing proof of concepts about better recommender systems in Samsung Health application 'SHealth' to developing data sync feature for 'SHealth' which allows user to sync his/her fitness data from various service providers to that of 'SHealth'.

I did my undergraduate studies at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi in 2014 in Computer Science and Engineering. During my undergrad days, I was very involved with competitive programming and participated in many algorithmic coding competitions like ACM ICPC, codechef long contests and codeforces short contests.

I spent my summer of 2017 with the Amazon Go team as an applied scientist intern. I was a great experience working with a very diverse and talented team on intriguing problems.

Currently, I am a kitchen assistant at Hampshire dining, UMass since August 2016. I make amazing pizzas and pastas.

I am also a hobbyist photographer. My photographs can be found at my Instagram link shared below.
